Batman as the new bond
In reguards to technology, Quantum of Solice is a definate dissapointment as a Bond film. Sure the movie is action packed probably more than any of the previous 007's, but the gadgets were always a key part of Bond's character. The new movie had almost no gadgets simply cell phones and guns. Batman, the Dark Night, however, has taken over the gadget aspect and had numerous new technological ideas. Also action packed, I think that Batman is becoming the new face of this type of film. Turning from the previous gothic style formated by directors such as Tim Burton, the newer films have become a traditional new age action hero steryotype but manage to incorporate great acting and plot diversity.

I've noticed that many of the movies that are coming out, ones that were previously made, are more like the original text. I thought it was very comforting to watch a movie that reflected the complexities in the comic book. The maturity of comics is sometimes unseen by the youth and even adults so they may or may not have been shocked by the movie. I really enjoyed the psychological intensity in the new/old (depending on how you look at it) Batman.
